British Columbia Homeschool Associations

British Columbia Home Learning

The path to home learning can be daunting. Fortunately for those of us in British Columbia, not only do we have a provincial government that supports home learning, we also have two great Homeschool Associations you can join as a family. Both offer great resources though BCHEA stands out as an organization open to all families.

The second organization has many great resources for families and holds an annual expo. PAHS is a non-profit Christian Organization.
Let’s take a look at the BC Home Educators Association. Their aim is to promote and protect the freedoms of homeschoolers, registered in 1987, they have been at the forefront of protecting the individual rights of parents to home educate their children.

The BCHEA’s website has many great resources including links to legal information about homeschooling, support groups, and distance learning options available in British Columbia. We encourage all families to consider joining the BCHEA. For the 2017/18 school year a suggested membership is by donation making it access able to all families.
